The five kingdoms in the Temperate deciduous forest

What organisms could live here?

Monera:

This includes bacteria. Bacteria practically lives everywhere on earth except for a few extreme environments. The temperate deciduous forest is teeming with bacteria, as a part of its ecosystem. Some of these include the Enterobacter agglomerans, Elocridium butyricum, Pesudotsga menziensii, Quercux petraea and the Bacillus subtilis, which is a bacteria that lives in dirt. Escherichia Coli ( Also known as E. Coli) is a bacteria found in the soil and other parts of the forest.

Protist:

This kingdom consists of microscopic organisms with organelles, a nucleus and some that are multi-celled. Some protists include: Volvox aureus, Pseudotrichonympha parabasalia, paramecium, and Colpoda.

Fungi:

There is a endless variety of fungi in the deciduous forest. There are thread-like, club-like, and sac-fungi. Fungi are an important part of this forest because they are decomposers. Some fungi is beneficial while others seem to be more parasitic. Armillaria bulbosa is a parasite to trees, by feeding on them. Many mushrooms are very poisonous like the fly agaric mushroom (amanita muscaria) and . However there are a few edible mushrooms as well like . Some type of poisionous mushrooms are Amanita muscaria (fly agaric),

Animals:

There is a wide variety of animals in the temperate deciduous forest, from a big black bear to a tiny tree frog. One type of mammal that is very common here is the Sylvilagus floridanus, which is well known as the cotton-tailed bunny. The animals in the temperate forest are very unique in their own ways. For an example the tree frog, Rana sylvatica, can blend in with it environment to protect itself from predators. There are many types of predators in the temperate deciduous forest including Panthera onca (puma), Felis rufus (bobcat), Ursus arctos (grizzly and brown bears), and Ursus americanus (black bear) which all eat small mammals. Herbivores in the temperate deciduous forest include: white tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus), red squirrel (Tamiasciurus hudsonicus), and monarch butterflies (Danaus plexippus). Ambystoma mexicanum (blue-spotted salamander, Meleagris gallopavo (wild turkey), Lepus americanus (snowshoe hare), Ursus americanus (black bear), Ursus arctos (brown bear), and Eurasian elk (moose).

Plants:

The temperate deciduous forest is prolific with plants, especially trees. Common trees like Quercus alba (white oak) are homes to many animal species. The American beech (Fagus grandifolia) is known for its smooth skin-like bark, while its cousin the blue beech (Carpinus caroliniana) has a blue-gray tinted bark. Birch species like the white birch (Betula pubescens) or the river birch (Betula nigra) grow in cooler places usually in the northern parts on North America. May apples (Podophyllum peltatum) grow in may, blueberry bushes (Cyanococcus)serve as a food for animals, and grasses inhabit this biome as well. Although this is called the temperate deciduous forest, conifers inhabit its rich, fertile soil as well.
